IVAA Collaborative Partners

The Idaho Coalition Against Sexual & Domestic Violence, Boise State University Department of Criminal Justice, the Idaho Council on Domestic Violence and Victim Assistance, the Idaho Crime Victim Compensation Program, the Idaho Attorney General’s Office, the Idaho State Police, Idaho State Police POST Academy, Idaho Sheriffs’ Association, the Idaho Prosecuting Attorneys’ Association, the Idaho Victim Witness Association, the Idaho Chief’s of Police Association, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Idaho have come together to implement the Idaho Victim Assistance Academy. The IVAA Executive Committee members represent the key stakeholder organizations. The IVAA Statewide Committee is comprised of thirty-five (35) members to ensure geographic, demographic, and professional affiliation diversity.

Until the inception of the IVAA, there was no statewide training to support Idaho’s efforts to provide comprehensive, academically based, fundamental education and training for victim assistance providers, victim advocates, criminal justice personnel, and allied professionals.
